Found and Forged NW at A Very Vintage Market June 27 Lake City Community Center 9am-4pm

Prepping for A Very Vintage Market JUNE Edition

June 4, 2015

JUNE 27. Mark your calendars!

Found and Forged NW will be selling at A Very Vintage Market for their June show! Come, come!

A Very Vintage Market is one of my very favorite markets to both be a vendor and shop at myself.

Side note, these two things are not mutually exclusive. Usually I come home with multiple goodies from other vendors when I sell here.  Ah, well.

The market is held the 4th Saturday of every month (with the exception of a 3rd weekend Christmas market in December) at the Lake City Community Center just outside of Seattle proper.

I like the variety of vendors, the price points and the ease to sell there.  Angie (AVVM owner) and her gang/husband, do a stellar job of getting the word out and have built up a loyal following for the market.  They have many repeat vendors and customers who come each month and wait outside an hour or more before opening!  I practically sold out in the first hour at the February market!

The doors open at 9am, but again, the line starts at 8am or so.  The first 20 people in the door get a goodie bag filled with treasures from the vendors!  The sale winds down at 4pm.  My advice is to get there early, but if you can’t, still go.  Vendors re-fluff, pull out more stuff and are more negotiable on price later in the day.  You might score the perfect find for less:)  Always good.

From experience, the June market features lots of garden decor and whimsical planters, succulents, etc.  There are also a lot of floral vignettes and linens.

My booth will be a plethora of wood, industrial, floral and neutral smalls and furniture.

The plan is to make lots of different items look cohesive with black and white accents and backdrops.  At the market, my price point is lower (good time to score a deal from me!) and my motivation to sell is high!  Because it’s a one day event, many vendors will work with you on price and don’t shy away from courteous bargaining:)

Angie makes sure the market is “bulked up” enough with vendors so it is worth your time to stop in and peruse.  It’s been rare that I haven’t walked away with at least one treasure!

There is an ATM at the Bank of America across the street, most vendors only take cash or check.

No admittance fee to get in and parking is free!

Grab a cup of coffee (or buy there, they sell refreshments at their cafe:) and a pal and come visit my booth later this month!  It’s an inspiring and oh so fun way to spend a summer Saturday!

Are you planning on coming?  Looking for anything in particular?
