If you know me, you know I love to travel. More specifically, I love to PLAN travel (see previous post about our Vancouver weekend, centered around food of course). Summertime especially makes me antsy to pack an overnight bag and explore a new area, see new beauty and have a new experience. I peruse AirBnB like a mad woman, so I thought I would put my findings to good use and offer my:
Top 5 AirBnB Picks Under $125: WA Edition
$85 per night
1hr 20min from Seattle, includes a ferry ride
This one is near and dear to my heart because my family grew up going to Guemes Island every summer. Nothing will top OUR cabin, but this farm stay looks beyond peaceful and extremely affordable for a weekend away.
$125 per night
1hr 30min from Seattle, includes a ferry ride
A private island and this view?? Yes, please! A short walk down the steps and you are on one of the nicest beaches on the island…with a complimentary kayak to boot!
$110 per night
1hr 15min drive from Seattle
This is becoming one of Luke and my favorite getaways. The price seriously can’t be beat for what you’re getting. You are THAT close to the river and can hear it out the french doors in the bedroom at night. The fireplace inside and fire pit outside always provide coziness, and the place itself is updated and luxe. You feel a world away even though the commute in to civilization is short.
$85 per night
Under 2hrs from Seattle
This just looks fun doesn’t it? I think this would be a vacation to remember! When else would I pick berries on a farm with sheep before my nap in the hammock? I also love the close proximity to Port Townsend and Port Hadlock…can you say foodie restaurants and antique stores??
$119 per night
Walking distance from Downtown Seattle
This one just tickles me. A barn within walking distance of bustling downtown? Love it. I want to stay at this one out of pure curiosity! I love the option it gives charm lovers like me to experience the excitement of downtown (let’s face it, the excitement of all it’s food options) without the price tag of a swanky, busy hotel and valet parking.
Let me know if you have a place you LOVE to stay or have always wanted to stay in WA!
Which one would you choose first?
