We’re about to head out for a little fun in the sun with the Stillinger clan for a few days, so thought I would post the recap of our successful Vintage Barn Sale held on our farm a few weeks back!
Since then, we have had a smattering of friends and family come visit, stay, BBQ, bonfire and forage berries with us. Summertime on the farm has been wave after wave of warm fuzzies.
Luke and I often pinch ourselves.
Luke came up to me on the day of the sale and said, “Can you believe it? It’s your dream coming true!” And he was so right. It didn’t necessarily feel like a “I have put together the most successful and impressive barn show ever” moment, but it was a day that carried a lot of weight in our minds. We were taking the first step into a new era of barn sales. And by golly, it went well!
I was so busy running around that I COMPLETELY forgot to take pictures. Blogger fail. Thankfully, my mom came to the rescue and snapped some great ones before the day took off!
Luke and I can’t really express how loved and supported by those who came to the sale. Our families (thank you so much family!!), old friends and new friends from our new community…wow. It really felt like a big reunion AND we met SO MANY neighbors! They came out of the woodwork!
I was in my happy place. Makin’ sales, talking with customers and friends, fluffing inventory in the sunshine, eating GF scones (mama Rhonda for the win!)…such a wonderful day! And one that will be repeated probably late August or early September! Stay tuned! You know I’ll be posting!
Until then I shall collect more treasures to delight and inspire!
Blessings on your weekends fellow finders!
